viaMedici_WorkstationSetup is an installment Tool for the workstations (PCs) of my current company. I developed it because I observed how much time each developer wastes to setup his workstation on his first day or if he gets a new one. It starts the installments of the needed programmes automatically in the right order and setup the configuration after the installation are done. This can mostly be made via the setting-file . In some older Programmes the Tool need to modify the settings via the Windows-Registry. Due to the entry of the JIRA-Access-Data, the tool can set the configuration so, that the user is already logged in after the setup.

My recommendation would be to switch to Linux. There it is possible to create a separate workstation which contains the required programmes. The product of the company is an Java EE application with Eclipse as IDE which works on Linux too. Since the integration of Linux into Windows, it is possible to sell the product to the customers with Linux and Windows Server or to sell it in a Docker-Container which makes updates easier and is OS-neutral.
